Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions

By placing an order with Booked Up Philippines, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following policies.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

All payments are non-refundable in case of buyer-initiated cancellation, unless another customer successfully takes over your slot and Booked Up Philippines approves the transfer.

If an order is cancelled by Booked Up Philippines due to consecutive missed payments in accordance with our Late and Overdue Payments Policy, previous payments are non-refundable.

We also do not automatically offer refunds for defects or imperfections, whether minor or major, including but not limited to scratches, dents, bent or wrinkled dust jackets, damaged foiling, warped books, discoloration, sticker residue, torn covers, or other flaws that may occur during overseas or local transit.

The only exception is when the original retailer or supplier agrees to issue a refund or replacement. If a refund is successfully received from the retailer, the corresponding amount will be passed on to the buyer.

Series Orders and Partial Availability

If you order multiple books from a series and one title becomes unavailable, lost in transit, cancelled by the retailer, or otherwise cannot be fulfilled, only the affected title will be refunded.

Refunds will not automatically extend to the remaining books in the series even if the complete set can no longer be fulfilled. Each title is treated as a separate purchase.

Shipping Time

Unless otherwise stated, books are shipped to the Philippines via sea cargo.

Estimated arrival is generally 3 to 5 months or longer after release or shipment from the retailer, depending on the order.

Shipping timelines are estimates only and may be affected by retailer dispatch delays, warehouse processing, consolidation schedules, customs clearance, transportation delays, weather conditions, port congestion, courier delays, or other circumstances outside our control.

Delays do not automatically qualify an order for cancellation or refund.

We will provide updates when there are significant delays or important changes affecting a batch.

Book Condition Advisory

Because our books are special editions shipped from overseas, please expect that some copies may arrive with imperfections.

These may include scratches, dents, damaged or missing foiling, bent or wrinkled dust jackets, warped books, discoloration, sticker residue, torn covers, page imperfections, or other transit-related flaws.

We inspect and handle every item with care, but some wear from international and local transportation may be unavoidable.

Minor or major imperfections do not automatically qualify for a refund unless the original retailer approves a refund or replacement.

Layaway Policy

By selecting a layaway plan, you agree to follow the assigned payment schedule and pay on or before each due date.

Our standard layaway due dates are generally scheduled on either:

• The 20th of the month, or
• The end of the month

depending on the payment schedule assigned to your order.

Layaway due dates are fixed and will not automatically be adjusted due to circumstances outside the shop’s control.

Please choose layaway only if you are able to commit to the assigned payment schedule.

Books already on hand will only be released once the order has been fully paid, including any applicable fees.

Once books arrive in the Philippines, photos or videos may be provided when necessary to document their condition.

Grace Period Requests

A grace period of up to 3 calendar days may be approved for a layaway payment.

Grace periods are limited to once every 6 months per customer.

Grace periods are not automatic and must be requested properly and respectfully. Buyers are strongly encouraged to communicate before the payment becomes overdue.

Approval remains at the discretion of Booked Up Philippines.

Late and Overdue Payments

A buyer with a late or overdue payment will temporarily be restricted from placing new orders until the overdue balance and applicable fees have been settled.

Late payments will be recorded on the buyer’s account and may affect future layaway eligibility.

If a buyer misses two consecutive payment schedules, the affected order may be cancelled with no refund of previous payments.

Consecutive Missed Payments and No Communication

Effective September 29, 2026, buyers who have consecutive overdue payments and fail to respond or provide an update after our payment reminders may be subject to additional account restrictions.

These restrictions may include:

  • Removal or downgrade of the buyer’s customer tier and corresponding tier benefits
  • Removal or cancellation of available discount codes or account discounts
  • Temporary or permanent loss of layaway privileges
  • Restrictions on placing new orders, including preorder and special-order requests
  • Requirement to pay in full or follow stricter payment terms for future orders

These restrictions are intended to protect Booked Up Philippines from unpaid or abandoned preorders. As we operate primarily through preorders, cancelled or abandoned orders may leave us with unexpected inventory and costs that the business must shoulder.

We understand that circumstances can change. Buyers who are unable to meet their scheduled payment are encouraged to contact us before or as soon as the payment becomes overdue. Communication and payment history may be considered when determining whether account restrictions will be applied or lifted.

Repeated or frequent late payments, even when eventually settled, may also affect future payment options and layaway eligibility.

Frequent Late Payment Policy

Effective for all orders starting on September 2, 2026:

A buyer who has accumulated 2 recorded late payments will be considered a frequent late payer.

Once a buyer has reached 2 recorded late payments, succeeding late or overdue payments on qualifying orders will be subject to an increased 5% late/overdue fee instead of the standard 3% fee.

This policy applies to qualifying orders starting on September 2, 2026.

A buyer’s payment history may also be considered when determining eligibility for future layaway plans, payment arrangements, and new orders.

Payment Proof and Validation

Proof of payment must be uploaded through the buyer’s account on the Booked Up Philippines website.

Payments sent only through Messenger, comments, or other communication channels are not considered properly submitted for validation.

We only validate payments when the corresponding proof of payment has been uploaded through the designated payment submission system.

Please allow approximately 24 to 48 hours at the earliest and up to 5 business days at the latest for payment and order validation.

Local Shipping Fee

Unless otherwise stated, listed prices include:

• Book price
• International shipping fee
• Pasabuy fee

The local shipping fee (LSF) from Booked Up Philippines to the buyer will be collected separately once the books are ready for local shipment.

Quality Check

To ensure order accuracy and document product condition, items may undergo a standard quality check upon arrival.

This may include opening the original packaging to:

• Confirm that the correct item was received
• Check for visible defects or damage
• Document the condition of the item through photos or videos

All items will be securely rewrapped before shipment.

Buyer information will not be included in publicly shared quality-check photos or videos.

Buyers who do not want their item opened for quality checking must opt out when ordering or before the item undergoes inspection.

Self-Service Order Tracking

Booked Up Philippines follows a self-service order and payment tracking system.

Customers are responsible for regularly checking their account, order tracker, payment records, upcoming dues, and shipping updates.

We do not guarantee individual payment reminders, order confirmation messages, or repeated follow-ups.

Failure to receive a reminder does not remove the buyer’s responsibility to pay on time or monitor their order.

Buyers are responsible for keeping track of their own payment due dates and order status.

Communication and Conduct

We understand that buyers may occasionally have questions, concerns, or requests regarding their orders and payments.

We ask that all communication with Booked Up Philippines remain respectful and professional.

Requests for extensions, grace periods, payment considerations, or policy exceptions must be communicated politely and respectfully.

Customers are also expected to cooperate with reasonable order and payment-related communication from the shop.

Repeatedly ignoring invoices, payment notices, or other communications requiring action may affect your account standing, layaway privileges, and future ordering eligibility.

Repeated hostile, abusive, disrespectful, threatening, passive-aggressive, or excessively argumentative behavior may result in:

• Loss of layaway privileges
• Restrictions on future orders
• Requirement to use one-time payment only
• Refusal of future service

Right to Restrict or Refuse Service

Booked Up Philippines reserves the right to restrict, limit, or decline future orders when reasonably necessary to protect the shop, its operations, and the integrity of its payment and ordering system.

This may apply in cases including, but not limited to:
• Repeated missed payment schedules/ late payments
• Repeated order cancellations
• Payment disputes
• Failure to follow agreed payment schedules
• Repeatedly ignoring invoices or payment notices requiring action
• Abuse of grace periods or payment arrangements
• Repeated requests for exceptions after applicable policies have already been clearly explained
• Fraudulent or suspicious activity
• Abusive, threatening, hostile, disrespectful, passive-aggressive, or repeatedly inappropriate communication
• Excessive administrative burden caused by repeated payment, order, or policy issues

Depending on the circumstances, Booked Up Philippines may impose a lesser restriction instead of refusing service entirely.

This may include:

• Requiring one-time payment only
• Temporarily removing layaway privileges
• Restricting the placement of additional orders until outstanding obligations are settled
• Limiting access to certain payment arrangements

Frequent late payment history may be considered when determining whether a buyer remains eligible for layaway or future orders, even when previous overdue balances have already been settled.

Policy Updates

Booked Up Philippines may update these Terms and Conditions when necessary to improve shop operations, payment processing, customer service, and order administration.

Unless otherwise specifically stated, increased fees will apply prospectively and will not be retroactively imposed on orders placed before their stated effective date.

By placing a new order after a policy update takes effect, you agree to the latest version of these Terms and Conditions.

Last Date Updated: September 2, 2026

By placing an order with BookedUp Philippines, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following policies.

Refund Policy

All payments are non-refundable in case of cancellation, unless another customer takes over your slot. We also do not offer refunds for any defects or imperfections — whether minor or major — including scratches, dents, bent or wrinkled dust jackets, or other flaws that may occur during overseas and local shipping. The only exception is if the original retailer we purchased from agrees to issue a refund or replacement for the defect; in that case, any refund we receive will be passed on to you.

Series Orders – Partial Availability

If you order multiple books as part of a series and one title becomes unavailable, is lost in transit, or cannot be fulfilled, we will refund only the affected book. Refunds do not extend to the other books in the series, even if the set can no longer be completed. Each title is treated as a separate purchase.

Shipping Time

All books are shipped via sea cargo which may take 3–5 or more months to arrive. Delivery times may vary due to weather conditions, port congestion, and customs clearance. We will communicate if there is a delay of more than 5 months.

Book Condition Advisory

Because our books are special editions shipped from overseas, please expect that some may arrive with imperfections (e.g. scratches, foiling off, bent or wrinkled dustjacket, dents on hardcover, warped paperback, discoloration, sticker residues, torn cover and more). We inspect and handle every item with care , but some wear from international transit is normal and unavoidable.

Layaway Policy

Payment schedule must be followed. Overdue balances = cancelled order with no refunds. Books already on hand will only be released after full payment. Once books arrive in the Philippines, we will send photos and videos to show the status of the items.

Local Shipping Fee

Listed prices include book price, international shipping fee (ISF), and pesabuyfee only. Local shipping fee (LSF) will be collected separately once books arrive in the Philippines.

Late Payments

Late balances incur 3% interest. If you miss two consecutive payment schedules, your order will be cancelled with no refunds.

Quality Check

To ensure order accuracy and check product quality, items may undergo a standard quality check upon arrival, which may involve opening original packaging to confirm the correct item and check for visible defects. All items are securely rewrapped before shipment, and photos or videos may be taken for documentation without sharing any buyer information. Buyers may opt out at the time of ordering.

Self-Service Order Tracking

Our shop follows a self-service tracking system. Customers are responsible for checking their own order status and payment records using our trackers. We do not send payment or order confirmation messages. Please allow 24–48 hours (earliest) and up to 5 business days (latest) for payment and order validation.

Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to decline or cancel future orders from any customer, at our discretion. This may apply in cases of cancellations, payment disputes, failure to follow the agreed payment schedule, or conduct that is abusive or disrespectful toward us.
